We head back home on Thursday after a Holiday Inn breakfast
and, amazingly, our train is on time. When we get home I’m not sure Lad has
missed us. Clearly he’s had a good time with Daughter and Netflix.
On Friday L is in Derby while I get out of work early to
head over to Grantham as we are setting up our Dog Show up for Saturday.
I’m back there again for the full day on Saturday running
the show and without the Lad who stays at home. It also means I miss Derby
County v Cheltenham Town which therefore sadly my Dad misses it too as my
brother is helping at the show as well. The show itself is our most successful winter
show yet. Deciding to expand and offer more classes has clearly paid off.
In my absence L tail walks at Wollaton Parkrun and comes in
526th. That’s a huge entry and probably because Beeston is currently closed. We’re
in the Plough later.
On Sunday we do a walk in Allestree before dropping in at Mickleover and then Aston from where we take my Dad for a late Sunday Lunch at the Clock Warehouse. Well it was supposed to be a Sunday Lunch but the roasts are off. My second choice ham hock is off as well, obviously. There is also only one bowl of soup available for L and I to share. They don’t even offer us two spoons. So all a bit of a disaster really but my third choice main course, a rib eye steak, is to be fair very good.
