Obsessions

I'm back into my training in a big way today. I cycle to work and then do a 5.5k run at lunch time. So I’m not feeling quite so untrained now. Even the run went well. Oddly.

More dogging tonight, while L visits her folks, and then we meet up afterwards in the Masons (it's a pub) for a quickie.

L reveals that the book she is currently reading is about a woman whose husband is divorcing her because of her gym obsession and her obsession with her figure. L's worried now. The book doesn’t mention anything about parkruns though.

Cask Ale Week

On the bus today and now having recovered from Sunday, I’m starting to feel under trained.

We are having a flashy new phone system installed at work that hooks into your email, your web browser and quite possibly they’ll soon be coming round handing out electrodes so that it can plug directly into our brains.

Who knows, it might even work. That is, if we can figure out what it actually does.

I’m on the bus and not training because I’m on the ale tonight which is quite appropriate for Cask Ale Week.
I meet my old school chums for a few jars in the Brunswick and then so low class grub in the Babington Arms Wetherspoons.

L walks the boys up to meet my bus and to guide me home.

Floodlit Dogging

The creaking old body isn’t too stiff today despite yesterday’s run but then I was provided with an excellent massage this morning.

It’s a glorious sunny day, perfect for a spot of dogging. Unfortunately it will be dark by the time we get there. Darkness may suit some types of dogging but not ours and we do have floodlights.
