Almost In Double Figures?

Today is L’s birthday but sadly the birthday present that I ordered hasn’t arrived yet. I have a backup plan and give the birthday girl a couple of pairs of the eye-wateringly expensive Wolford tights that she loves. I love them too, on her of course. So it’s win-win all round.

I manage another bike to work and another lunch time trot (can’t really call it a run). This time I manage 6.1k. Which L describes as almost in double figures. I think she’s had a mathematical failure there, although I will be in double figures next weekend as we’re both doing the Leicester 10k.

Living Dangerously

L’s the Birthday Girl today although she says I shouldn't be buying her a birthday present because I’ve already bought her the WAG boots.  She probably doesn’t mean that, so I treat her to a night out at the Championship Play Offs, watching them on the big screen at Pride Park Stadium. That’ll teach her. I do buy her a cycling top too.

L has always seen herself as a jinx... but I like living dangerously. She settles down with a book, a bucket of wine, a hot pork cob and vows not to peek at the screen. Hence the jinx is kept at bay and despite not playing terribly well, Derby win 2-1.
