Resuscitation

I spend my lunchtime hobbling around Sainsbury after yesterday’s half marathon. L is having to use the steps to get in and out of the pool and she didn’t run. Good job she didn’t run.

The Manchester Marathon was also yesterday. L’s friend did it and my physio did it. Brilliant race apparently but the baggage queues were even worse than at Sheffield. Three hour wait apparently! Not good. My body locked up after a fifteen minute wait at Sheffield. I'd need to have to be resuscitated after three hours.

Later I head off for some wet dogging while L heads off for a curry.

Volunteer Services

Everyone is arriving so early for work these days due to shortage of parking places, we have seven spaces for seventeen staff. The situation is so congested even half an hour before start time that I am struggling to get my bike in to the car park, having to lift it over cars to get to the fence I chain it to.

The knees survive the ride and don’t seem too bad at all. It was good of L to help me test them out before getting on the bike this morning.

Her knees are dodgy too and I suggest that perhaps she needs a good session with the foam roller. I volunteer my services but she doesn’t seem too keen on that idea.

I’m hobbling less at dog training, so return with a pair of much more worn out dogs this time.

This Could Go On Forever

This morning I am hobbling nicely after my ‘excessive’ running over the weekend.

I had a call from the company wanting to deliver our bedroom furniture on behalf of DFS today but not the bed, apparently that is coming separately. Which is really unhelpful.

Their system for arranging delivering is that they give us a day and if we’re not available they’ll ring back in two weeks’ time with another one. If that’s no good, they’ll ring back in another two weeks’ time with another one... This could go on forever.

It’s even more annoying because DFS make you pay for delivery and then give you no control over it.

Dogging is off tonight, frozen pitch. So I swim again. 54 lengths tonight.
