Old Man Bike Trouble

Winter seems to be over or a least on hold because Spring seems has to have arrived. It’s really warm today on the bike and I am wearing far too much.

I have old man bike trouble on the way home. That’s the old man on the other bike that slipstreams me before returning the favour. When I again take my turn at the front, he only puts up with my laughable pace for a short while before overtaking me again and disappearing into the distance, laughing manically as he goes.

It's dogging tonight and then a pint with L in Masons where the guest beer is now Harvest Pale. What happened to the Ghost Ship after only one week? Ugh, Bass please.

The Least Worst Candidate

Today is a day of firsts.

Well obviously there’s Mr Trump but then there’s Nottingham having an ice bar. Only £12.50 including a prosecco but get in quick before Italy stop us importing it.

There’s also the fact that we now have new chic black soap dish to go with the new chic black tooth mug and the new chic black bathmats in our new chic bathroom. Not sure Donald would approve though.

Then there’s the Masons finally kicking out the Wainwrights and putting Adnams Ghost Ship on for my post-dogging pint. Wow, I’ll have one of those. Although with their limited bar choices it is a bit like an American election, where you have to try to pick the least worst candidate.

I think I may have got my choice right.

Off To Manchester For Tea

With L’s race being yesterday, I’m lost with what to do with the dogs today... so we visit the park for the first time in ages.

In the evening we pop over to Manchester for tea. Just the two hours there and two hours back, as you do. Of course we visit Daughter as well.

In fact the girls take the opportunity to do a training run whilst the dogs and I drive straight to the pub. We have singled out two pubs that are allied to the ones in Leamington (White Horse) and Sheffield (Lescar) that we go to. Option 1 - the Woodstock Arms is full, so we move on to the Stokers Arms which has sadly run out of roasts. The beer is Adnams Ghost Ship, which isn’t very Mancunian but is quite good.
