Difficult Questions

I’m feeling a bit knackered, so I take the bus to work and I will do the gym later, by which point hopefully the rest of my body will have woken up.

L asks me the sort of difficult questions that all couples have to deal with a some point. Can you show me how to set up a Paypal account? and How do I charge my bike lights? I’m here for her.

While reading someone else’s blog and I find out about The Parkrun Alphabet Challenge. Which basically means you have to run 26 different parkruns that all start with a different letter. Well it’s actually only 25 as there is no ‘X’. Yet. Oh, and ‘Z’ is Zary in Poland which I assume L’s response of ‘Poland here we come!’ was all about but that’s Z. There’s plenty more to go at before we get there. I’m such a killjoy.

My friend’s funeral is announced with donations invited for 'Rethink'. ‘Rethink’ are a mental illness charity, which seems to tell us something we didn't know.

Squash is off again and will be for a few weeks as my opponent has had a bout of shingles.

A Big Undertaking

In the car today, so that I can take in a haircut while inadvertently saving the legs for squash later.

L has started reading my blog again from the beginning which is almost as big an undertaking as her bible project. This is mainly to fill in the blanks in her running history but it's also throwing up plenty of things I don't even remember doing.

We track down one of the missing dates which was the Seaton FootpathsRun in Devon in 2009 which was changed from a Beer Festival to a Running Festival the moment I decided to enter. We did it with both dogs, which must have meant a very young MD, and L did it on one leg because she was injured. So some things don’t change.

It’s back to normal at squash, e.g. I lose heavily. Saving the legs didn’t help and I actually think I play better after I've cycled.

Getting Behind

I’m getting well behind with this blog. What with work giving me work to do and dog club secretary duties taking up evening computer time along with a fair amount spent on my Xpert Eleven teams.
Then there’s the World Cup to watch and now from this weekend the Tour de France arrives. In fact we’ll be there ourselves, Le Weekend is to be spent in Le Yorkshire.

Second bike of the week today and the second bout of dog training.
