Hole In The Bucket

It was due to be the end of the great tennis hiatus today until we saw the weather forecast. So, opponent calls it off amid the predicted deluge that is supposed to last all afternoon and evening.

Our lunchtime pub excursion reveals a new beer being brewing by the Brunswick themselves. ‘Hole in the Bucket’, I think that's what it was called,  is an excellent new 4.7% dark ale, porter style and very smooth. The brewer is there drinking it himself and assures us it will be a regular beer come the autumn.

I think autumn is here now and it is raining when I cycle home. It’s not exactly a deluge but it wouldn’t have been very pleasant brandishing a racquet in it.
