L and I are both members of the Biobank health monitoring
project with around half a million others. So far we’ve had one set of medical
tests with them and a couple of questionnaires but now they’ve sent me a watch.
Which is nice of them...
Only, although I have to wear it on my wrist, it doesn’t tell
the time. It is an activity monitor, it detects movement and will scrutinize my
physical activity. I have to wear it for a week, 24 hours a day e.g. at work, at
home, in the shower and even in bed, whether sleeping or, I guess, not. Big
Brother is now watching me.
Sounds fun. I just hope they share the results with
me.
We spend the night in with few beers, my Thai red curry and
a few episodes of The Bridge, that is after we’ve tested the activity monitor.
