L says she has an awful lot of reading to get through and I
get home to find her kicking balls and reading at the same time. She’s quite
adept at it. Now all she needs is to do is to do all that whilst holding a glass
of Friday night wine. I suppose she could always put it in one of those drinks
bottles or perhaps in a camelback.
Tonight we watch a film, Oranges
and Sunshine, which has the always wonderfully happy Emily Watson in it. It is
set, briefly, in 1980s Nottingham and concerns a social
worker (Emily Watson) who attempts to reunite children who were sent to Australia
in child migration schemes years ago, but are now grown up, with their parents
back in Britain.
