I contemplate a third day in the row on the bike but my tired legs
say no. Instead I take my running kit with me in the hope that they are
functioning better by 5pm.
They seem to be and I set out in reasonable shape with the
injuries reduced to only a slightly sore knee and a little tightness in the
left calf. After a mile and a half I hop on the bus, then get off again to run
the last three miles to home. This is where the problems start and the
tightness in my calf gets worse. Eventually it’s so bad I have to walk the rest
of the way home.
L has walked the boys up to meet me, so MD helpfully tugs me
homewards. L then does the honours as regards a calf massage, which seems to
help. Leaving the main problem being the knee. Alcohol to soothe that one I think.
